413 Cafezinho POS
I built a mobile-first ordering and operations system for 413 Cafezinho. The public storefront has since been retired; the employee-facing point-of-sale system remains in internal use.
01 / The problem
Customer orders and staff operations shared one business
The original project brought together customer ordering, employee sales, products, inventory, shifts, and reporting. Staff needed a clear counter workflow, while management needed to close shifts and review payment and cash activity.
The interface also needed to work on mobile devices. The customer-facing commerce site and internal POS later had different lifecycles: the public storefront was retired, while the business kept using the POS internally.
02 / The approach
Build the day around the counter and shift
I developed the application end to end with SvelteKit and Cloudflare’s serverless stack. The employee experience connects the order queue, product selection, cart, payment controls, shift activity, and end-of-day reporting.
The customer ordering experience was part of the original scope and sent orders into the employee-side queue. Product and ingredient management connected the sales workflow to day-to-day stock operations.
03 / The solution
A single application for sales and shift work
Staff can build an order from the POS, record payment, and continue through shift tasks. Product and ingredient screens support catalog and stock management; shift logs record activities such as cash changes, expenses, and breaks.
The end-of-day report brings together sales by payment method, discounts, and cash-drawer movement. The application uses Cloudflare Workers, D1, and R2, with PWA support.
04 / What changed
The internal POS continues after the storefront retired
The business retained the employee-facing POS for internal operations and retired the public commerce site. This case study therefore focuses on the current operational system rather than presenting the old storefront as active.
The selected screenshots show the employee dashboard, shift log, product and ingredient management, and an end-of-day report.
