What needed to change
Early-career teaching meant turning Physical Science preparation into lessons that met high-school students where they were, while supporting interest in science beyond the classroom.
Working within real constraints
The private-school assignment covered Grades 7 and 8 and around 200 high-school students daily. Teaching experience also spanned public school, extending the work across two school settings.

Responsibilities and involvement
- Taught General Science to Grades 7 and 8 at St. Louis College of Valenzuela from June 2016 to March 2017.
- Managed about 200 high-school students daily in the private-school role.
- Established an environmental science club with about 50 students.
- Was promoted to Science Coordinator in the private-school teaching experience and also taught in a public-school setting.
