01 / The context

What needed to change

Two food-service brands needed software shaped around their own operating routines. Counter sales, products, ingredients, shifts, branch operations, and reporting had to fit the business workflow, while internal teams also needed tools to replace spreadsheet handoffs.

Working within real constraints

The systems needed to fit fast counter work and differing brand workflows. Grandma’s Sandwich also needed an offline path for sales, while internal tools had to be practical for staff and managers to use during daily operations.

02 / Workflow in focus

Connect a counter sale to stock and management review

  1. Staff create and record sales in the brand’s point-of-sale workflow.
  2. Product and ingredient operations connect transactions to inventory activity.
  3. Managers use shift reports, inventory dashboards, and administrative tools to review and coordinate work.

03 / Implementation

What I built

  • Built 413 Cafezinho Premium POS and Grandma’s Sandwich POS as solo full-stack projects.
  • Deployed the applications using SvelteKit, Cloudflare Workers, and D1.
  • Delivered inventory dashboards, reporting utilities, and admin panels that replaced manual spreadsheet workflows.
  • Added offline-capable sales and automatic synchronization for Grandma’s Sandwich operations.

04 / Delivered capabilities

What the system enables

  • Staff can use custom POS workflows designed around each brand’s service needs.
  • Product, ingredient, inventory, shift, and reporting tasks connect to the relevant sales workflow.
  • Grandma’s Sandwich POS can retain sales locally while offline and synchronize when connectivity returns.
  • Internal dashboards and admin tools reduce reliance on manual spreadsheet handoffs.

Platforms & technologies

  • SvelteKit
  • TypeScript
  • Cloudflare Workers
  • Cloudflare D1
  • IndexedDB
  • Dexie.js
  • Point-of-sale and inventory workflows
Technical implementation

Designed and built the applications end to end with SvelteKit and TypeScript, using Cloudflare Workers and D1 for the deployed systems. Grandma’s Sandwich uses Dexie.js and IndexedDB for local sales storage and synchronization after connectivity returns. The wider delivery included inventory, reporting, and administration tools. The 413 Cafezinho public storefront was later retired while its internal POS remained in use.
